Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Nigel Clifford has been studying dance since the age of four. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance, summa cum laude, from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and is an emerging company artist with Ballet Edmonton.
Seeking opportunities to enhance his training and expand his artistry, Nigel has participated in intensives and workshops with Springboard Danse, RUBBERBAND, Ballet Jazz Montreal, Domaine Forget, Ballet BC, Orsolina28 and Jacob's Pillow. He has also performed works by renowned choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Aszure Barton, Juliano Nuñes, Flockworks, Lar Lubovitch, Bob Fosse and more. Nigel was honoured to be part of James Gregg’s Baryshnikov Arts Center Residency Program in New York City funded by the Princess Grace Foundation in the summer of 2024. His biggest interest is exploring the endless possibilities of movement pathway and expression and how the two aspects intertwine.
