Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Nigel Clifford has been studying dance since the age of four. He is trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Currently studying Contemporary dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Nigel is pursuing performance and choreography opportunities at school and beyond.
Seeking opportunities to enhance his training and expand his artistry, he has participated in intensives and workshops with Springboard Danse, RUBBERBAND, Ballet Jazz Montreal, Domaine Forget, Ballet BC, Orsolina28 and Jacob's Pillow. He has also performed works by renowned choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Aszure Barton, Juliano Nuñes, Flockworks, Lar Lubovitch and more. Nigel was honored to be part of James Gregg’s Baryshnikov Arts Center Residency Program in New York City funded by the Princess Grace Foundation in the summer of 2024. His biggest interest is exploring the endless possibilities of movement pathway and expression and how the two aspects intertwine.
